CABARET BAND

Punkcakes, the worst punk-trash-cabaret band of the known world, is an erratic "punk" band conceiving itself as a trash-retrogarde revolving in an aesthetic of neo-pressapochism (a practice well developed in Italy throughout the centuries). Punkcakes combine a severe taste for food and life with a complementary distaste for taste itself.

The disharmonies of their cover-hit "Ich will keine Schokolade" and related video still echo all through the valleys at the four corners of South Tyrol, Italy, causing concern and distress among the local hillbillies.

Playing together since 2011 and at all since the same year, the four no-longer-girls are making an art of not fitting any categorization nor any stylish dress.

 

All band members live in Meran (South Tyrol, Italy).
